Samui Island Thailand

Koh Samui Thailand

Samui is the third largest Island in Thailand and the largest in an archipelago of more than 80 islands that includes the Ang Thong National Marine Park, a kayaking paradise and day Trip from ko Samui. While Samui is small enough to be circumnavigated in just a couple of hours by motorbike or car, the Island features such a variety of Beaches and activities that it would be impossible to experience everything in a single visit. There are so many beautiful beaches here like Chaweng, Lamai, Taling Ngam, and Natien. Besides plentiful nature, the Island is also full of History and Culture.

Koh Pha-Ngan

Koh Pha-Ngan is a large Island off the east coast of Surat Thani province in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Pha-Ngan is located about 100 km offshore and about 15 km north of Koh Samui. Most well-known for its monthly full moon Party, Koh Pha-Ngan features some of the most spectacular Beaches in Thailand, most of which are still only moderately developed, providing visitors with easy access to either a wild beach Party or a relaxing and quiet beach Holiday.

Apart from the beautiful Beach and deep blue sea water, koh Pha-Ngan offers tourists natural attractions i.e. waterfalls, mountains, Local coconut farms and fishery at Chokechalam Village. Wonderful scenery is waiting for you since you are on board on the Island. Koh Pha-Ngan is not far away from Ko Samui where is one of Thailand’s leading tourist attraction. In addition, taking a ferry to Tao Island to sightsee coral reef and aquatic animals is convenient.

Koh nang yuan

Koh Tao, Koh Nang Yuan

The tiny Island of Koh Tao (“Turtle Island”), 45 km north of Koh Phangan.

Once a Destination almost exclusively for scuba divers and those looking to get away from it all, Koh Tao is now also a destination for wild 20-somethings to warm up before or unwind after neighbouring Koh Phangan’s Full Moon Party. Fortunately, despite its quite small size, most of the beaches around Koh Tao have retained a charming, laid back atmosphere and bungalows ranging from ultra-basic thatch roof to chic and boutique are available for those on any budget to enjoy the beauty of one of Thailand’s most spectacular Islands.

Koh Nang Yuan consists of three islets linked together by sand beaches. The island is a great diving site for coral reefs viewing. Koh Nang Yuan is an island of white fine sand and crystal clear water that mostly suits tranquility lovers. Besides, shallow-water and deep-water coral reefs, which are beautiful and still intact, attract a regular visit by divers. Moreover, a scenic viewpoint allows visitors to overlook a splendid line of three beaches where the islands are connected and beautiful sunrise and sunset. These sights are exclusively unique to Koh Nang Yuan.

Angthong National Marine Park

This idyllic archipelago is approximately 20 km from Ko Samui and consists of around 40 small islands. Tourists can sign up for one day boat trips which embark from Ko Samui or Ko Pha-ngan with any of the local travel agents. The highlight of the archipelago is Ko Wua Ta Lab, which acts as a center and features pristine beaches as well as a 400 meter trail which leads of to the summit of the hill in the island’s center. Once at the top, visitors can enjoy expansive views over the archipelago and further out into the Gulf of Thailand. There is also a natural lagoon with a pathway of natural steps leading up to a vantage point which allows visitors to look down over the emerald waters surrounded by rocky cliffs and greenery. There are also numerous islands which are suited to snorkeling and scuba diving including Ko Sam Sao, Ko Thai Phlo, Ko Wua Kan Tang and Ko Hin Dab, which is also home to the longest stretches of sand in the entire archipelago.
